Collaborative and Contractual Research
The TOPTEC Centre is a part of the network of application centres of the Czech Academy of Sciences (CAS). Application centres are characterized by a very close cooperation with the industrial sector in the Czech Republic and abroad, and TOPTEC ranks among the top institutions in this category both in terms of quality and quantity. We participate in four European Space Agency (ESA) projects and actively cooperate with leading companies in the optical industry and related branches.
Our laboratories provide an extensive instrumental, machine, and analytical infrastructure, which enables the implementation of complex research and development tasks. We also develop the mechanical components required in optical systems and measurement setups.
Combining unique and state-of-the-art technology with more than 40 years of experience in research and development in optical systems, we can provide both Czech and foreign organizations from academic as well as industrial sphere with highly professional services in the following fields:
design and implementation of unique optical elements and advanced optical systems using aspheric, free-form, crystal and x-ray optics
numerical simulations and tolerancing of optomechanical systems
design, development and testing of precise measurement techniques using holographic, interferometric, and other methods
design and implementation of signal processing systems
design and implementation of application-specific thin film systems; development of deposition methods and processes
design of adaptive systems for piezoelectric shunt damping incl. analysis and consultation in the field of acoustics
design and construction of mechanical systems and lightweight structures for optics;
FEM structural and thermal analysis
consultation and expertise in fields of optics, optoelectronics, laser applications, and fine mechanics
